Hartlepool Ladies' Choir to sing for 90-year-old international charity

The Hartlepool Ladies' Choir will be singing their hearts out at a concert to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Lepra, an international charity.  St Cuthbert Church on Stockton Road is the venue on Thursday 11th September, starting at 7 pm.  The choir's repertoire includes songs from the shows and films as well as American folk songs.

Lepra celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.  The charity works in India and Bangladesh to fight disease, poverty and prejudice.  This year in those two countries, more than 138,000 people will be diagnosed with leprosy and start treatment for this curable disease.  Millions of people worldwide live with permanent disabilities caused by leprosy.

Refreshments will be available and a raffle will be held to raise funds for the charity.
